How does the calculator work out my lost revenue?
Missed calls per week, multiplied by the share of callers who never try again after hitting voicemail (industry research puts it around 85%), multiplied by your average job or sale value, multiplied by your win rate on answered enquiries. It's an estimate, but for most NZ trades it's a conservative one because it ignores the lifetime value of repeat customers.
How many calls does a typical NZ tradie actually miss?
More than most expect. Industry studies consistently land between 25% and 40% of inbound calls missed for sole traders and small crews, with the worst windows being mid-job hours, lunchtime and anything after 5pm.
