What are AI outbound calls?
Outbound (or outgoing) AI calls flip the usual arrangement: instead of waiting for the phone to ring, your Talkify agent rings your customers and prospects for you. You give it a list, a goal and a calling window; it dials in a natural NZ voice, has a real conversation, leaves personalised voicemails for the people who do not pick up, and reports back with every answer, a sentiment read and a recommended next step per person.
What kinds of campaigns can I run?
Anything that starts with "ring everyone on this list": win-back calls to lapsed customers, service and renewal reminders (heat pump services, WOFs, memberships, annual reviews), post-job satisfaction calls and review requests, new-offer announcements, RSVP confirmations, and proper phone surveys. You describe the goal in plain English and the AI runs the conversation toward it.
How much do outbound AI calls cost in NZ?
Outgoing calls are from 25c a minute, rounded up to the next minute, on top of a Talkify business plan (from $129/month at the founding rate): 25c a minute once you reach 200 minutes, or 50c a minute for smaller volumes. There are no per-contact fees, connection fees or per-response charges. A 100-call campaign averaging two minutes a call reaches the volume rate, so it is about $50 in call charges. Compare that with the hourly rate of anyone on your team doing the same ring-around.
Is automated outbound calling allowed in New Zealand?
Calling your own customers and people who gave you their number is normal business contact, and Talkify is built for exactly that. Your do-not-call list is honoured automatically, calls only go out inside the calling window and timezone you set, and daily caps and retry limits keep campaigns polite. It is not a tool for cold-calling scraped lists, and the unsolicited electronic messages rules and Privacy Act still apply to how you collected the numbers.
What happens when someone does not answer?
The agent leaves a voicemail you wrote, personalised with the person's name, then retries automatically inside your calling window up to the limit you set. If someone says "call me Tuesday", the retry is scheduled for Tuesday. Every attempt is logged against the contact.
What do I get back at the end of a campaign?
A live dashboard while it runs, then the full picture: who answered, what they said question by question, sentiment, a short summary per person, a goal-met rate for the campaign, and a hot-leads view of everyone ready to buy or book.
