Talkify now works with MechanicDesk

Your AI phone agent takes the booking, gets the rego and what the car is actually doing, and puts it straight into your MechanicDesk diary.

A Talkify and MechanicDesk co-brand lockup, the two logos side by side joined by a plus sign on a dark brand background.

Your phone goes at ten past eight. You are under a car with your hands full. By the time you get to it, they have hung up and rung the workshop down the road.

Talkify now connects to MechanicDesk, so your AI phone agent can take that booking itself and put it straight into your diary.

What the integration does

When someone rings to book their car in, Talkify can:

  • Offer your real services, reading the job types you have set up in MechanicDesk, in your own wording
  • Offer your real open days, so it never books someone in on a day you are shut
  • Take the vehicle, rego, make, model, year and odometer
  • Get the actual problem, in the customer's own words, and write it on the booking
  • Lodge the booking into your Diary, under Online Booking Requests, ready for you to accept

The note is the bit that matters

An online booking form gets you the word "service" typed into a box. A conversation gets you something you can actually quote.

Talkify asks what the car is doing and writes down what it hears. "There is a shudder through the brake pedal when I come down off the motorway, started about a fortnight ago." That is the difference between guessing an hour and booking the right job with the right part on the shelf.

Your service advisor should be writing up jobs, not taking dictation down the phone. Talkify takes the booking calls so your people can stay on the tools.

What that sounds like

A customer rings at half seven on a Tuesday night. Talkify tells them you are open Thursday and Friday, takes the rego off them, hears that the warrant is due and the brakes have gone noisy, and sends the request through. You open the diary on Wednesday morning and it is sitting there with the rego, the job and the symptom already written down.

Being straight about what it does not do

MechanicDesk takes booking requests, and a person at your workshop accepts them. Talkify works the same way. The agent never tells a customer they are booked in at a set time, because that is your call to make, not its call.

There are a few other things it will not pretend to do:

  • It cannot tell someone when their car will be ready
  • It cannot look up a booking they already have, or change one
  • It cannot quote a price

Ask it any of those and it takes a message and tells the customer you will ring them back. We would rather it said that than made something up.

Get it switched on

If your workshop runs on MechanicDesk and you are tired of the phone winning, we will get you connected. It takes one code from your MechanicDesk settings.
