For businesses that nurture with ActiveCampaign

They rang instead. Nurture them anyway.

Your automations welcome every form fill and every download. The people who pick up the phone get nothing, because nobody tagged them. Talkify is the ActiveCampaign AI receptionist that answers in a warm New Zealand voice, matches or adds the caller as a contact, tags them with what they wanted and notes the conversation, so ActiveCampaign phone calls start the same follow-up your best leads already get.

Your automations

Put your name down and we will connect your ActiveCampaign and walk you through it. No setup fee, no lock-in, and your phone number stays exactly where it is.

Callers join your ActiveCampaign list, tagged, and your automation takes it from there.

What the agent does in your ActiveCampaign.

Contacts, tags, notes and deals, through ActiveCampaign's own API. Everything after that is automation you already wrote.

Recognises your contacts

The caller's number is looked up in your contacts, so a subscriber who rings is matched to the record with their whole history, not added twice.

Adds the new ones

A first-time caller becomes a contact with their name, number and email, and any custom fields you map, like the service they asked about.

Tags with intent

The tags you choose, from phone-enquiry to wants-a-quote, so segments, lists and reporting treat callers like every other lead source.

Starts the automation

Any automation that begins when a tag is added fires for the caller, or Talkify adds them straight to the automation you name.

Notes the conversation

A note on the contact with what they asked, what they were told and what happens next, plus a link to the full transcript.

Opens a deal

For enquiries worth a sales conversation, a deal in the pipeline and stage you pick, with a task for the owner if you want one.

The lead source nobody nurtures

You built a follow-up for everyone except the ones who call.

Callers are often your warmest leads. Someone who picks up the phone has already decided they are interested. They deserve the welcome series at least as much as a newsletter sign-up.

Unanswered, they vanish. A missed call leaves no contact, no tag and no trigger. The automation you spent a weekend building never gets the chance to run.

Answered by Talkify, they join the list, tagged and noted within seconds of hanging up, whatever the hour, and your follow-up starts while they still remember why they rang.

From a phone call to a running automation.

What happens between hello and the first email in their inbox.

01

Matched on the way in

The number is looked up in your contacts as the call connects. An existing subscriber is greeted by name and their record is the one updated.

02

A helpful conversation

The agent answers from what you have taught it about your programmes, prices and dates, and asks what you want to know, including an email address.

03

Added and tagged

A new caller becomes a contact. The tags you set go on, one for the channel and one for what they were interested in.

04

Your automation starts

The tag trigger fires. Thank-you email, a useful resource, a reminder, whatever sequence you built for enquiries like this one.

05

The call is on the record

A note with the summary and the transcript link sits on the contact, beside their opens and clicks, for whoever speaks to them next.

06

Sales hears about it

For the ones worth a conversation, a deal in your pipeline, plus a text and an email to you within seconds of the call ending.

Set up in an afternoon

Two keys and a tag. That is the whole setup.

Talkify uses the tags and automations you already have, so there is nothing to rebuild in ActiveCampaign. If you do not have a phone enquiry automation yet, we will help you sketch one that suits your business.

  1. Copy your API URL and keyIn ActiveCampaign, Settings, then Developer. Paste both into Talkify.
  2. Pick the tagsOne for the channel, like phone-enquiry, and any others the agent should add based on what the caller wanted.
  3. Point a trigger at the tagStart your enquiry automation on "tag is added", or name an automation for Talkify to use directly.
  4. Forward your callsSend your existing number to Talkify for the hours you want covered, then ring it and watch the contact appear.

Who pairs Talkify with ActiveCampaign.

Businesses whose growth runs on nurture, where a caller who never gets a follow-up is a sale that quietly went elsewhere.

Coaches and course providers.

Programmes sold over a few conversations and a well-timed email sequence. AI reception for professional services.

Enrolments · discovery calls

Advisers and accountants.

Firms that keep prospects warm with newsletters and guides until they are ready to engage. AI reception for accountants.

Prospects · onboarding

Teams that sell by phone.

Businesses where the enquiry call is the start of a sales process and every one should land in the pipeline. The sales agent.

Qualification · deals

One list, every channel.

ActiveCampaign already knows what your subscribers open and click. Now it knows who rang as well.

Tags are the whole integration.

Because the agent speaks ActiveCampaign's own language of contacts and tags, you do not learn anything new. Segment callers, report on them, exclude them from a promotion they have already bought, all with the tools you use for every other lead.

A phone call in the contact history.

The note on the contact means the full story is in one place: the email they opened, the page they visited and the call where they asked about dates. On a sales CRM instead? See HubSpot and Pipedrive.

The Talkify difference

Built here.
Not badged here.

Most AI answering services sold in New Zealand are overseas platforms with a local logo. Talkify runs on our own local SIP network, keeps data in New Zealand and Australian data centres, and answers in voices your callers actually recognise. That changes how every call sounds, and where every recording lives.

What is an AI receptionist for ActiveCampaign?
A phone agent that answers your business calls and treats every caller like a new subscriber worth nurturing. It looks the caller up in ActiveCampaign by their number, adds new people as contacts, tags them with what the call was about and notes the conversation on their record. Your automations do the rest: the thank-you email, the follow-up sequence, the deal for your sales team. Talkify is built in Christchurch for businesses in New Zealand and Australia.
How does Talkify connect to ActiveCampaign?
With your API URL and API key. In ActiveCampaign, go to Settings, then Developer, copy both, and paste them into Talkify. There is nothing to install and no developer work. Then choose the tags to apply, the automation to start and, if you like, the pipeline and stage for new deals. The key carries the access of the user it belongs to, and you can reset it in ActiveCampaign whenever you like.
How do my automations know someone rang?
Through tags, the way ActiveCampaign is designed to work. Talkify adds the tags you choose, such as phone-enquiry or wants-a-quote, and any automation that starts on that tag being added fires for the caller, just as it would for someone who filled in a form. If you would rather not use tags, Talkify can add the contact to a named automation directly.
Does a caller need an email address to become a contact?
In most accounts, yes. ActiveCampaign keys contacts on email unless your account has phone-only contacts turned on, so the agent asks callers for an email address as a natural part of the conversation. If the account allows phone-only contacts, a caller who would rather not give one can still be added from their number alone.
What does the note on the contact say?
What happened on the call, in plain words: why they rang, what they asked, what the agent told them and what happens next, with a link to the full transcript. It sits on the contact alongside their emails and site visits, so whoever speaks to them next has the whole picture. With deals switched on, a deal is opened in the pipeline and stage you pick, and a task can be set for the owner.
Will callers start getting marketing emails they did not ask for?
Only if your automations send them. Talkify adds and tags the contact; what ActiveCampaign sends next is decided by the automation you point at that tag, and every email still follows your own unsubscribe and consent settings. A sensible first step for phone enquiries is a single thank-you with the information they asked for, and the call note records anything the caller said about how they would like to be contacted.
Do I have to change my business phone number?
No. Keep the number on your website, your ads and your email footer. Talkify answers through call forwarding from that number, whenever you choose: all the time, when you are busy, when nobody picks up or after hours. Nothing is ported and nothing is installed.
