Talkify / Integrations / Apple Calendar
For businesses run from an iPhone

Your diary is on your phone. So is every missed call.

You cannot answer a call with both hands in a cupboard. The Apple Calendar AI receptionist picks up instead, looks at the iCloud calendar you already live in, and books the job into it. That is iPhone calendar booking without you touching the phone: the appointment is there on your screen by the time you climb down the ladder.

Talkify's own grey calendar glyph, used for the Apple Calendar connection. Talkify reads an iCloud calendar and books callers into it. Apple Calendar

Put your name down and we will connect your Apple Calendar and walk you through it. No setup fee, no lock-in, and your phone number stays exactly where it is.

What the agent does in your iCloud calendar.

No new diary to learn and nothing to install on the phone. Talkify works with the calendar you already check twenty times a day.

Looks before it offers

Every event in the calendars you choose blocks that time, including the ones you punched in yourself at a red light, so a caller is only ever offered a gap that is really there.

Writes the job in

The booking goes into your iCloud calendar with the caller's name, number, address and what they need, so the details are in the event when you tap on it on site.

You choose the calendars

Work, family, the kids' sport. Tick the ones that should block bookings, and pick the one new jobs are written into. Everything else stays private to you.

Moves a booking

A customer who needs a different day is found and moved to another free time. The event shifts in your calendar and your phone shows the new time.

A password you can pull

Connected with an app-specific password, not your real one. It cannot sign in to iCloud on the web, and you can revoke it on its own from your Apple Account.

Texts you the moment it books

A text and an email the second the call ends: who, where, what for, and the time. Handy when you are deciding whether to swing past on the way home.

From a call you could not take to a job on your phone.

Here is what happens between your phone buzzing in your pocket and you checking it at smoko.

01

Your phone rings out

After the few rings you set, the call forwards to Talkify and is answered in your business name. The customer never hears voicemail.

02

It finds out what the job is

A leak, a quote, a callout. Where it is, how urgent, and anything you have told it to always ask, like whether there is parking or a dog.

03

It checks your iCloud calendar

Over the same connection your iPhone and Mac use, inside the working hours you give it. Whatever you have in there already wins.

04

It books the time they pick

Written into the calendar you chose, with the details in the event. It syncs to your iPhone, iPad and Mac like anything else you add.

05

Urgent ones reach you

If it is flooding rather than dripping, you can have the agent pass the call through or text you straight away, rather than wait for a slot.

06

You glance at your phone

The job is already in the calendar, the text is already in your messages, and nobody had to ring anybody back.

Who runs their day off Apple Calendar.

Usually the business with one person, one ute and one iPhone. No office, no job management system, and no one to pick up.

Owner-operator tradies.

Builders, painters, handymen and roofers working alone or with an apprentice. AI reception for tradespeople.

Quotes · callouts

Plumbers and sparkies.

Where the phone rings mid-job and half the calls are urgent. AI reception for plumbers and electricians.

Leaks · faults · inspections

Mobile services.

Lawn mowing, garden maintenance and anyone else whose office is the driver's seat. AI reception for landscapers.

Rounds · one-off jobs

You do not need job management software.

Plenty of good businesses run on a calendar and a phone. Talkify fits that, rather than asking you to change it.

One diary, not two.

Some answering services keep their own booking list and leave you to copy it across. Here the booking is written into your iCloud calendar itself, so there is nothing to reconcile at night and no double-booking because two diaries disagreed.

The next caller does not leave a message.

Most people who hit voicemail ring the next tradie on the list. An answered call with a time agreed is usually the job. See what the unanswered ones are costing on the missed call calculator.

Stop ringing people back at nine at night.

We connect your iCloud calendar with you over the phone, set the hours you work and the jobs you take, and test it with a real call before you switch forwarding on. No setup fee and no lock-in.

The Talkify difference

Built here.
Not badged here.

Most AI answering services sold in New Zealand are overseas platforms with a local logo. Talkify runs on our own local SIP network, keeps data in New Zealand and Australian data centres, and answers in voices your callers actually recognise. That changes how every call sounds, and where every recording lives.

What is an AI receptionist for Apple Calendar?
It is a phone agent that answers your business calls and books work straight into the calendar on your iPhone. Before it offers a caller a time it looks at your iCloud calendar, so a job you added yourself at 7am from the ute is respected, and the booking it makes lands in that same calendar with the caller's name, number and what the job is. For a one-person business it means the phone is answered while you are on the tools and the diary still lives where you already keep it.
How does Talkify connect to my iCloud calendar?
With your Apple Account email and an app-specific password. Apple does not offer a sign-in-with-Apple button for calendars, so this is the one way in. You make the password at account.apple.com under Sign-In and Security, it takes about a minute, and you paste it into Talkify. It only works for things like calendars and mail, it cannot be used to log in to iCloud in a browser, and you can revoke it on its own at any time without changing your real password.
Will the booking show up on my iPhone?
Yes. The appointment is written into your iCloud calendar itself, not a separate Talkify diary, so it appears on your iPhone, iPad and Mac the same way anything you add yourself does, with whatever alerts you normally have set. Talkify also texts and emails you the details the moment the call ends, so you know before the calendar alert does.
Can I keep work and family calendars separate?
Yes. When you connect, Talkify lists your iCloud calendars and you choose which ones count. Most people tick their work calendar and the family one, so the school pick-up blocks the afternoon for bookings, and choose which calendar new jobs are written into. One thing to know: if the Calendar app on your Mac also shows a Google calendar, that one is not an iCloud calendar and connects to Talkify separately as Google Calendar.
Can a caller change a time they already booked?
Yes. The agent can find the booking and move it to another free time in your calendar, and the change appears on your phone straight away. Cancellations are left to you: the agent takes the message and tells you, and you cancel from the Talkify calendar or the app, which takes it out of your iCloud calendar as well.
Do I have to change my mobile number?
No. Talkify works by call forwarding from the number your customers already ring, whether that is your mobile or a landline. Set it to pick up only when you do not answer within a few rings, only when you are already on a call, or only after hours. Your number stays exactly where it is, and switching forwarding off takes seconds.
