For home service businesses on Jobber in New Zealand and Australia

Missed calls become Jobber requests.

You are on a roof, under a house or halfway down a hedge when the next job rings. Talkify is the Jobber AI receptionist that answers it in a genuine Kiwi voice, knows the client if they have been with you before, and leaves a request in Jobber on the right property, ready for you to book the assessment when you climb down.

The Jobber logo. Talkify answers calls for Jobber users and raises each enquiry as a request in Jobber. Jobber

Put your name down and we will connect your Jobber and walk you through it. No setup fee, no lock-in, and your phone number stays exactly where it is.

Requests raised in Jobber from the phone while the whole crew was on site.

What the agent does in your Jobber.

It speaks Jobber: clients, properties, requests, quotes, jobs and visits, through Jobber's own API.

Knows your clients

The caller's number is matched against your Jobber clients, so a regular is greeted by name and their new job goes on the record you already hold.

Raises the request

Every enquiry becomes a Jobber request with the job in the caller's own words, urgency, access notes and the best time to call, which is exactly where you start from.

On the right property

Clients with a rental, a bach or two sites get the request on the address where the work actually is, not just the billing one.

Answers "when are you coming?"

For an existing client, the agent reads their upcoming visits in Jobber and gives them the day and time, instead of promising someone will ring back.

Knows where the quote is

"Did you get my quote?" is answered from the quote's status in Jobber: sent and waiting on them, or approved and heading for the schedule.

Triage before paperwork

Water still running, a smell of gas, no power. The agent deals with the urgent part first and puts the real emergencies through to whoever is on call.

From a ringing phone to a request in Jobber.

One call, followed from the ute to the office, with nobody putting down their tools.

01

It picks up on the first ring

Your line forwards to Talkify when you cannot answer. Your business name, a local voice, and no voicemail for the caller to give up on.

02

It knows who is calling

The number matches a Jobber client, so Mrs Gaire is greeted by name and the agent can see her property in Halswell and her history with you.

03

It gets the job

A leaking hot water cylinder, water on the laundry floor. It checks she knows where the toby is before anything else, then asks your questions.

04

A request appears in Jobber

On her client record and her Halswell property, with the fault in her words, the urgency and a note that she is home all afternoon.

05

You hear about it straight away

A text with the summary in seconds. Anything marked urgent can come straight through to your phone instead.

06

You book the assessment

Back in the van you open the request in Jobber, pick the crew and the time, and carry on exactly as you would with any request.

Every call that used to hit voicemail, turned into work in Jobber. Answered while you are on the tools, recorded on the right client and property, ready for you to price.

Connected before your next job.

Three steps, and we do them with you on the phone.

Connect Jobber

Press Connect, sign in to Jobber and approve Talkify. No password shared with us, nothing to install, and you can disconnect from Jobber any time.

Teach it your rules

Your service area, what you do and do not take on, what counts as an emergency and who is on call. It will not quote a price unless you tell it what to say.

Forward your number

When you are busy, when nobody answers, after hours or always. The number on the van and your Google listing stay exactly as they are.

Who runs Jobber, and why the phone rings out.

Jobber is built for businesses that work at the customer's place. Nobody is at the office to answer.

Plumbers and gasfitters.

Hands in a wall when the next leak rings, and the caller wants somebody today. AI reception for plumbers.

Leaks · hot water · drains

Electricians and HVAC.

Heat pump installs, faults and switchboards, often from a ladder. For electricians and heating and cooling.

Faults · installs · servicing

Lawns, gardens and property care.

Mowing rounds, hedges and maintenance where the engine is running all day. AI reception for landscapers.

Rounds · one-offs · quotes

The job goes to whoever answers first.

Somebody with a leak rings three businesses. The one that picks up gets the work, and usually the next ten jobs too.

Voicemail is where jobs go to die.

Most people will not leave a message for a trade, they ring the next number on the list. Every missed call on a busy day is a job that went to a competitor, and a customer who now has their number saved instead of yours.

Requests, not scribbled notes.

A request in Jobber is already on the client and the property, so nothing gets retyped at nine at night. Work out what your missed calls are worth on the missed call calculator, or see how trades use Talkify.

The Talkify difference

Built here.
Not badged here.

Most AI answering services sold in New Zealand are overseas platforms with a local logo. Talkify runs on our own local SIP network, keeps data in New Zealand and Australian data centres, and answers in voices your callers actually recognise. That changes how every call sounds, and where every recording lives.

Ask a person Talk to us

Tell us which system you run and how your calls come in. A real person at Talkify replies, and we set the connection up with you.

What is an AI receptionist for Jobber?
A phone agent that answers your business line in a natural voice while you and the crew are out on jobs, and puts the work straight into Jobber. It recognises existing clients from their phone number, takes the details of the job, and raises a request in Jobber on the right client and property, ready for you to book the assessment or send a quote. Talkify is built in Christchurch for home service businesses in New Zealand and Australia.
How does Talkify connect to Jobber?
Through Jobber's own app connection. You press Connect in Talkify, sign in to Jobber and approve the access, the same way you connect any app to Jobber. We never see your Jobber password, there is nothing to install, and you can disconnect Talkify from inside Jobber whenever you like.
What lands in Jobber after a call?
A new request, which is how Jobber likes new work to arrive. It sits on the client, at the property where the work is, with the job described in the caller's own words: what is wrong or what they want done, how urgent it is, access notes and the best time to reach them. A brand new caller is created as a client first, with Talkify as the lead source so you can see the phone is bringing work in.
Does it book assessments or visits into my schedule?
No, and that is on purpose. The agent raises the request and tells the caller someone will be in touch to arrange a time, and you book the assessment in Jobber the way you already do, because only you know which crew is where. What it can do is read your schedule for existing clients, so "when are you coming on Thursday?" gets a straight answer from the visit that is already booked.
Can it tell a client when we are coming or where their quote is?
Yes. For a client it recognises, the agent can see their upcoming visits and the status of their quotes in Jobber, so it can say the crew is booked for Thursday morning, or that the quote was sent on Monday and is waiting on their approval. Anything it cannot answer from Jobber becomes a note for you, not a guess.
Jobber has its own AI Receptionist. Why use Talkify?
Jobber offers a Receptionist built into Jobber that answers calls and texts and creates requests. According to Jobber's help centre it works through a dedicated Jobber phone number, and those numbers are currently available in the US, Canada and the UK. Talkify is built for New Zealand and Australian businesses: it answers on the number you already have by call forwarding, speaks in local voices, handles calls in New Zealand and Australian data centres and nowhere else, and does the whole reception job, from triaging an emergency to answering questions about your service area.
Do I have to change my business number?
No. Talkify works by call forwarding from the number on your van, your website and your quotes. Nothing is ported and nothing is installed. You choose when it picks up: always, only when you are already on a call, only when nobody answers within a few rings, or only after hours. It takes a few minutes with your phone provider and comes off just as quickly.

Have a look around.

What a day of answered calls looks like for a trade business, job system or not.

Nights and weekends covered, with real emergencies handed to whoever is on call.

Everything Talkify connects to, and what the agent can do once it is connected.
