Talkify / Integrations / Cal.com
For Cal.com users in New Zealand and Australia

The AI receptionist for Cal.com.

Your booking page wins everyone who clicks. The people who ring are often your best prospects, and they get voicemail. Talkify is Cal.com phone answering that fixes that: it picks up on the first ring in a real New Zealand voice, offers the slots Cal.com says are genuinely free, and books the caller into Cal.com before they hang up. No link to chase, no phone tag, no lost client.

The Cal.com logo. Talkify reads free slots from Cal.com and books callers into it during the call.

Put your name down and we will connect your Cal.com and walk you through it. No setup fee, no lock-in, and your phone number stays exactly where it is.

Booked and moved in Cal.com on the phone, with Cal.com sending every invite.

What the agent does in your Cal.com.

A receptionist that already knows your calendar, on every call, day and night. Everything goes through Cal.com's own API, so your event types, your rules and your confirmations stay in Cal.com where you set them.

Knows your event types

The half-hour intro call, the hour-long session, the site visit. You choose which event types the agent may offer on the phone, and it describes them the way you would, with their real lengths.

Reads the slots that are free

Asked of Cal.com while the caller is on the line, so your working hours, buffers, minimum notice and daily limits all apply on the phone exactly as they do on your booking page.

Books it on the call

The booking is made in Cal.com with the caller's name, their time zone and the email for the invite. Cal.com sends the confirmation and the calendar invite, the same as a web booking.

Moves and cancels

A caller who cannot make it is found by their email, told which booking they have, and moved to another free slot or cancelled. You switch each ability on or off per agent.

Respects confirmation

If an event type needs you to confirm it, the booking waits for you in Cal.com and the caller is told so, rather than being promised a time you have not agreed to.

Tells you what happened

Within seconds of the call ending you get who rang, what they booked or changed and anything else they mentioned, as a text and an email, with the transcript behind it.

From the phone ringing to a booking in Cal.com.

Six things happen in the minute and a half you would have spent playing phone tag.

01

It answers, properly

First ring, your business name, your greeting, a local voice. No menu and no hold music. Five people can ring at once and all five are answered.

02

It works out what they need

Which kind of appointment, who with, and roughly when. If they are asking something that is not a booking at all, it answers that too, from what you have told it about your business.

03

It asks Cal.com

Not a timetable pasted into a document. The agent asks Cal.com which slots are free on that event type right now, and reads back two or three the way a person would say them.

04

It books the one they pick

In Cal.com, in the caller's own time zone, whether they are in Auckland or Perth, with their name and the email address the invite should go to.

05

Cal.com makes it official

The confirmation email, the calendar invite and your reminders come from Cal.com, as they always have. The booking sits in one place, not two that need reconciling.

06

You hear about it

A text and an email within seconds: who rang, what they booked, what else they asked. And if nothing suited them, a proper enquiry for somebody to ring back.

Who runs Cal.com, and why the phone still rings.

Cal.com is the booking page of choice for people who sell their time. Those are exactly the people who cannot answer the phone while they are doing it.

Consultants and advisers.

Accountants, lawyers, brokers and business coaches who are in a meeting when the next client rings. AI reception for professional services.

Intro calls · consults

Clinics and practitioners.

Physios, counsellors and therapists with hands full and a booking page most patients never find. AI reception for clinics.

Appointments · follow-ups

Trainers, tutors and studios.

Personal trainers, tutors and coaches who are mid-session for most of the day. AI reception for personal trainers.

Sessions · assessments

A booking link only works on the people who click it.

Cal.com solved scheduling for everyone who emails you. The phone is the other half of the day.

"I'll send you a link" loses people.

Somebody who has already dialled wants it sorted while they have you. Told to watch for an email, a good share of them never open it. A time agreed out loud, and booked while they listen, gets kept.

Team event types work the same way.

Round robin and collective event types are worked out by Cal.com, so the agent offers a slot when the right people are free and the booking goes to whoever Cal.com assigns. Work out what the missed ones cost on the missed call calculator.

Your booking page handles the clicks. Let us handle the calls.

We connect your Cal.com, choose the event types the agent may offer, write how it talks about your work, and test it on real calls before a single client hears it. No setup fee and no lock-in.

The Talkify difference

Built here.
Not badged here.

Most AI answering services sold in New Zealand are overseas platforms with a local logo. Talkify runs on our own local SIP network, keeps data in New Zealand and Australian data centres, and answers in voices your callers actually recognise. That changes how every call sounds, and where every recording lives.

What is an AI receptionist for Cal.com?
Software that answers your business phone in a natural voice and books straight into your Cal.com. It reads your event types and the slots Cal.com says are genuinely free, offers the caller two or three of them, and makes the booking before they hang up. Cal.com then sends its own confirmation and calendar invite, exactly as it does for a booking made on your booking page. Talkify is built in Christchurch for businesses in New Zealand and Australia.
How does Talkify connect to Cal.com?
With an API key. In Cal.com go to Settings, then Developer, then API keys, make a key, and paste it into Talkify. You then choose which event types the agent may offer on the phone. There is no developer work and no change to how your Cal.com is set up, and you can revoke the key from Cal.com whenever you like. It works the same whether you are on Cal.com's cloud or running it yourself.
Does the agent book the slot itself, or send the caller a link?
It books the slot itself, on the call. Cal.com's API lets a booking be made directly against an event type, so the caller is booked in before they put the phone down, and Cal.com sends them the confirmation email and calendar invite straight after. If an event type is set to require your confirmation, the booking lands in Cal.com as waiting for you, and the agent tells the caller you will confirm it rather than promising a time you have not agreed to.
Can a caller move or cancel a booking over the phone?
Yes. The agent finds the booking under the caller's email address, reads it back so you are both sure which one it is, and then moves it to another free slot or cancels it in Cal.com. Cal.com sends the updated invite or the cancellation itself. You decide whether the agent may do either, per agent.
Will it ever offer a time that has already gone?
It should not, and here is why. The times it offers are the ones Cal.com works out at the moment the caller asks, under your working hours, buffers, minimum notice and booking limits, rather than a copy taken earlier in the day. And Cal.com itself will not accept a booking into a slot that has gone, so the worst case is a caller who is offered the next free time, never two people turning up at nine on Thursday.
Do I have to change my business phone number?
No. Talkify works by call forwarding from the number your customers already ring, so nothing is ported and nothing is installed. You choose when it picks up: always, only when you are already on a call, only when nobody answers within a few rings, or only after hours. It takes a few minutes with your existing phone provider and about as long to turn off again.
Cal.com has its own phone agent. Why use Talkify?
Cal.com offers Cal.ai, which is built around scheduling calls. Talkify is a whole receptionist for a New Zealand or Australian business: it books into Cal.com, and it also answers everything else a caller asks about your business, takes messages, texts you the urgent ones and follows enquiries up. It speaks in local voices, your calls are handled in New Zealand and Australian data centres and nowhere else, and your number stays exactly where it is. Plenty of businesses keep Cal.com for the booking page and use Talkify for the phone.

Have a look around.

What taking appointments on the phone looks like all day: the changes of mind, the reschedules and the reminders.

The same phone answering for Calendly, which confirms the booking on its own page from a single-use link.

No booking page at all? The agent books straight into the Google Calendar you already keep.

For businesses booking through Acuity: real free times, booked on the call.

Add HubSpot and the same call files the contact and the transcript against them.

Everything Talkify connects to, and what your agent can do once it is connected.
