Talkify / Integrations / Close
For inside sales teams on Close in New Zealand and Australia

Your reps are dialling out. Who answers coming in?

A good sales floor spends all day on outbound, which is exactly why the prospect who rings back gets a busy line. Talkify is the Close CRM AI receptionist for your inbound: it matches the caller to their Close lead before it picks up, keeps the conversation warm in a local Kiwi voice, and leaves a logged call activity and a task for the rep who owns the lead.

The Close CRM logo. Talkify matches inbound callers to their Close lead and logs each call as an activity on it. Close

Put your name down and we will connect your Close and walk you through it. No setup fee, no lock-in, and your sales number stays exactly where it is.

Inbound calls logged in Close during the power hour, with nobody off the phones.

What the agent does in your Close.

Everything goes through Close's own API, so leads, statuses, owners and Smart Views stay just as your team set them up.

Knows the lead before hello

The caller's number is searched across the phone numbers on your Close contacts, and because every contact sits inside a lead, the agent also knows the company, its status and the rep who owns it.

Logs a real call activity

Inbound or outbound, the duration, the number and a note with the summary and transcript, on the lead where your reps log their own calls. Your activity counts include the phone calls nobody on the floor took.

Hands the rep a task

A task on the lead, assigned to its owner and due today, saying what the prospect needs, so it shows up in their inbox in Close between dials.

Creates new leads

A number Close has never seen becomes a new lead with the contact inside, their details and the call already on it, ready for whoever works new inbound.

Moves status forward only

Set the status a fresh inbound enquiry should land in, or open an opportunity for a caller ready to buy. The agent never drags a lead back to an earlier stage.

Pings the rep instantly

A text and an email the moment the call ends, so the rep can slot the callback in before the next block of dials rather than after lunch.

From a callback nobody could take to a task in Close.

One returned call, followed from the ring to the rep picking it up again.

01

A prospect rings back

They got a voicemail from your rep and are returning it. Every rep is mid-dial, so the call forwards to Talkify instead of ringing out.

02

Close says who it is

The number matches a contact on the Tasman Fleet Services lead. The agent knows it is Mark, that the lead is Contacted, and that Aroha owns it.

03

The conversation stays warm

It thanks him for calling back, says who was trying to reach him and why, and answers what it can about your product from what you have told it.

04

It qualifies, briefly

Fleet size, timing, the decision date. Your questions, not a script from somewhere else, with the important answers read back to him.

05

The call lands on the lead

A call activity with the direction, the duration and a note carrying the summary and transcript, plus a task for Aroha due today.

06

Aroha rings back prepared

She sees the text between dials, opens the lead, and calls Mark knowing he wants fourteen-van pricing by Friday.

Your team books the meetings. We catch the ones calling in. Every returned call answered in seconds and logged on the lead, while the floor keeps dialling.

On the inbound line before the next call block.

Three steps, and we sit on a call with you for all of them.

Create an API key

In Close, Settings, then Developer, then API Keys. Paste it into Talkify from a user who can see every lead, and delete it in Close whenever you want the connection gone.

Set the rules of the floor

Which status a new inbound lead lands in, whether ready buyers get an opportunity, and how soon the owner's task is due. Change them whenever the process changes.

Forward the busy line

The number prospects ring forwards to Talkify when every rep is on a call or nobody answers. No porting, and your caller ID and listings stay exactly as they are.

Who sells on Close, and loses the inbound.

Close is built for teams that live on the phone. The busier the outbound, the more inbound goes unanswered.

You paid for the first call. Answer the second.

Every outbound dial costs a rep's time. A prospect ringing back is that time paying off, if somebody picks up.

A returned call is intent you earned.

Somebody who rings back after a voicemail has chosen to talk. If they hit a busy line they rarely leave a message, and your rep spends another three dials trying to catch them again. Answering the first time is cheaper than all of that.

The floor never has to stop.

Nobody is pulled off a call block to watch the inbound line, and nothing waits in a shared voicemail box. Put a number on what slips through on the missed call calculator.

The Talkify difference

Built here.
Not badged here.

Most AI answering services sold in New Zealand are overseas platforms with a local logo. Talkify runs on our own local SIP network, keeps data in New Zealand and Australian data centres, and answers in voices your callers actually recognise. That changes how every call sounds, and where every recording lives.

What is an AI receptionist for Close CRM?
A phone agent that takes the inbound calls your sales floor cannot, and works straight out of Close. It matches the caller to their lead by phone number before it answers, so it knows the company, the status and which rep owns them. After the call it logs a call activity on the lead with the direction, the duration and a summary, and gives the rep a task. Talkify is built in Christchurch for sales teams in New Zealand and Australia.
How does Talkify connect to Close?
With a Close API key. In Close go to Settings, then Developer, then API Keys, create a key and paste it into Talkify. No developer and no app install. The key acts with the permissions of the Close user who made it, so create it from a user who can see every lead you want recognised. Delete the key in Close and the connection ends.
How is the call logged in Close?
As a proper call activity on the lead, the same kind of record your reps create when they dial from Close. It carries whether it was inbound or outbound, how long it ran, the number, and a note with a plain summary and the full transcript. Close marks it as a call handled outside its own phone system, so your activity reporting can tell the two apart.
What happens when a prospect rings back after a missed dial?
That is the call this is built for. Your rep left a voicemail on the power dialer an hour ago and is now twenty dials further down the list. The prospect rings back, the agent recognises them from the lead, answers the questions it can about your product, takes what they need and gives the owning rep a task due today with the gist in it. The rep calls back into a warm conversation instead of a game of phone tag.
Does it create new leads?
Yes, if you want it to. A caller whose number is not on any lead becomes a new lead in Close with the contact inside it, their name, number and email, and the call activity already on it. If you only want calls logged against leads you already have, turn creation off and new callers reach you by text and email instead.
Can it change the lead status or open an opportunity?
It can do both, on rules you set. A new inbound enquiry can be put in a status of your choosing, and a caller who is clearly ready to buy can have an opportunity opened on their lead. It never moves a lead backwards, and it never touches a status your team has set further down the funnel.
Do I have to change our sales number?
No. Talkify works by call forwarding from the number your prospects already ring. Nothing is ported and nothing is installed. Choose when it answers: every call, only when the line is busy, only when nobody picks up within a few rings, or only after hours. A few minutes with your phone provider sets it up, and it comes off just as fast.

Have a look around.

How the agent qualifies inbound in your wording before anything is written to Close.

Hand it a list of stalled leads and the same agent makes the follow-up calls.

Callers recognised and calls written onto the timeline, for teams on Pipedrive.

The same inbound answering for sales teams whose contacts live in HubSpot.

Contacts matched, calls logged and a task for the owner, in Freshsales.

Everything Talkify connects to, and what the agent does once it is connected.
